Title: bSquare 640x480 device in the UK
Post by: tumnus on May 05, 2004, 07:46:53 am
I wonder if we can get Linux on this thing: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2004/05/04/bs...bsquare_review/ (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2004/05/04/bsquare_review/) ?

It\'s ugly! The SL6000 (nearly equal in size) has far more capabilities (and I bet a nicer screen!) and looks far more beautiful...

handhelds.org has various hardware poking/reverse engineering tools that are useful in doing such a port.  It\'s not a trivial job though.

It may not be pretty and I\'d also worry about such a large unprotected screen in my pocket, but it\'s the only 640x480 mobile device natively available in the UK.... Not that I\'m getting one. I don\'t like MS or Windows CE even if I had the money.
