Title: Automatic E-mail
Post by: InJapan on May 09, 2004, 09:54:16 am
Does anyone know how to get your Zaurus (SL-C750) to automatically check your e-mail when you connect using a wireless card?

I saw an explanation on setting up for this and turning on the e-mail light, but it was completely confusing.

Thank you

Well I have several sources. Here is the one in English.

The one poster says they got it working using an AT JOB, but the other info that I have read suggests Croninet.

I just bought a new Zaurus book here in Japan called the \"Linux Zaurus Super Guide.\" (ISBN4-8399-1388-9.) I can read some Japanese, but I am not fluent. It seems to have a lot of info in this book. My problem is that I don\'t yet understand how to use the Linux \"terminal\" yet.

In the book a program is mentioned that will check your mail (?) when you open the web browser. It\'s called \"MailChecker.\"

Here is one more link that is in Japanese. This person seems to have a complete solution for automatic e-mail. I am just not familiar with the software and terms he is referencing.

Well good luck! Also, Could someone direct me to a guide on using the terminal function?
