Title: Expansion Adapter vs Extra Battery Question
Post by: Yury on May 10, 2004, 05:57:47 am
Hi all

I am deciding between:
1 “Sharp CF Expansion Adapter for the SL6000L Model CE-JC2” - $165
2 “Sharp Zaurus EA-BL06 Rechargeable Lithium Ion Battery” - $37

Price difference is so high that it’s difficult to justify buying the Expansion Adapter. I am trying to weight all their pros and cons. Actually, my primarily need is an extra battery. Though the Expansion Adapter has also some other useful features.

But there is one question I don’t know the answer. Is it possible to charge the Expansion Adapter without connecting it to Zaurus? As I assume it’s impossible to charge an extra battery without inserting it into Zaurus.
Can anybody confirm my assumptions? If my assumptions are correct it could be another one point in favor of the Expansion Adapter.

Thank you in advance

Yury

that is the battery the 5500 uses, it wont work in a 6000.
There is an external charger available for it.  I havent seen one for the 6000 battery.

You need EA-BL09 battery for the 6000.
