Title: Opie Apps in TK ROM?
Post by: Anonymous on November 18, 2003, 09:40:44 am
I would like to be able to run Opie apps with the Kompany Rom however I am not sure what libraries to install and such.

I would most likely want to run AdvancedFM and Today, plus there are some other handy apps that look good.

I do not want to use OZ, I had tried it and I just couldn\'t get into it, it didn\'t seem as polished as TK ROM so I\'m trying to get the best of both worlds.  TK Rom and Opie Apps.

Also would I need to updat the ipkg tool?

Currently i\'m running the latest TK rom and syncing with the Zaurus 3.10 Intellisync software to get all my PIM info from Outlook.

Thanks.

For AdvancedFM, look here: http://www.killefiz.de/zaurus/showdetail.php?app=1148 (http://www.killefiz.de/zaurus/showdetail.php?app=1148)

You will probably need libopie from here: http://opie.handhelds.org/feed/sharprom/latest/ (http://opie.handhelds.org/feed/sharprom/latest/)
This feed does not require any special ipkg version and works with the Sharp graphical installer.

But there is also a FAQ: http://www.zaurususergroup.com/modules.php...parent_id=0#213 (http://www.zaurususergroup.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=FAQ&file=index&myfaq=yes&id_cat=5&categories=Software&parent_id=0#213)
