Hi all,
I just got hold of a new 6000L and am having trouble getting the network up.
The wireless interface just says it\'s initializing but then stops and says network unavailable. It seems it can;t even find the MAC address of the built in wireless card? I thought it was always on (the card that is) but I may be wrong?
Also, I tried a low power CF ethernet card that seems to be detected correctly in the Systsem Info but I get the same issue when trying to start the interface.
Please help!!
Note: the USB socket at the base of the unit is too small for any USB cables to fit!! Interesting quality control from Sharp.
So far I\'m not impressed.

I had a similar problem, I ended up just turning off my MAC authentication, connecting, getting my MAC then turning the authentication back on. Another thing you could do is setup something like what another fella said he did for war walking. Go setup a network to connect to, set it\'s type (in the config tab) to Ad hoc and give it some dummy IP address, subnet, and gateway. Then connect to it, you should now see your MAC in the \"Current\" tab in networking.

Mini-A USB connectors aren\'t really obscure. My iriver mp3 player uses one as well as my Casio Exilim digital camera. I bought a GE universal USB pack for $15 at Target -- it brings multiple connectors that you can switch to connect any two USB devices together. I\'ve seen a similar pack at Staples but for $25.
