Title: Openembedded and building images
Post by: heathkit on May 22, 2004, 01:35:23 pm
I\'ve been using openembedded recently to build packages.  However, I can\'t install anything because 3.3.6pre1 is too old - if I try to install a package, it requires a newer glibc.  ipkg can\'t install glibc - it fails partyway through and leaves the system trashed.

So how do I upgrade my zaurus so it\'ll work with openembedded packages?

The only sane way to get updated packages is to get OE build complete OZ images. Everything else is pretty much waste of time, because then you can upgrade all the outdated stuff simply by flashing a new OZ image.
