Hi ... havent been updating my news recently.
Its been quite a while since I last played with my Z.
Is this new pdaX rom compatible with the 5600?? It sounds interesting!
Does it have the kernel patch like that of the \"special kernel\" for the 5600, which also allows overclocking?
Thanks

ok ... have read the forums and the answer is nope
No X11 roms for the 5x00 ... yet ...
Just hoping ...
Thx!

Im waiting until I see a X11 rom (with USB drivers ) before I make the move to the 5600 as well.

i\'d love to have an x rom for the 5600.. i have 2 5600\'s (pxa255) that i\'d trade for the cl-760.. i want x on my zaurus bad

Can somebody from the pdaxrom team please comment on this?
I have a 5600 laying around that pdaX would bring some new life too, but if it is never gonna happen maybe somebody can tell us and we can quit asking about it every couple weeks
If I even had a clue how to get started building something like this myself it woulda been done a long time ago. I\'d even loan my 5600 to sash or whoever would need it for testing for a couple months.

I\'m not from the team.
However as you use the same processor, you will be fine with the same binaries (unlike the 5500/5000d users). You\'ll have to produce your own ROM image and add in a kernel for the poodle. I presume this will require you to use the pdaXrom SDK and to modify the kernel which it produces, to make your own + modules to stick in your image (I don\'t know how ROM flashing is done on the 5600).
There are probably other issues, I\'m not sure how much of the size stuff is hard coded, probably not alot.
I can\'t see any major issues moving it over (bar the kernel, perhaps), a bit of work, but it should be alright (he says :-))
Have a go.

P.S. I may be being very naive here, please feel free to pipe up and give me some abuse ;-)

right now my 5600 is waiting for a new OZ or pdaxrom ... it currently has oz 3.3.6-pre1 ... but
it\'s ready for a new OS.
