I remember seeing a lot of neat stuff in the pdaXrom feed way back in January and now it\'s all gone. Where can I find ipks (for X11)?
Some very dead forum threads mention these nifty programs:
nethack (with prety GUI),
xgnuboy (or some other gameboy emulator, I don\'t remember),
fluxbox,
& a handfull of games.

I want to see the nethack qt compiled for the X11 rom. I miss the ability to
scale the tileset and I also like the shortcut menus on the qt version.

Thanks a lot! Just one problem: Nethack\'s tiles seem to be messed up. When I run xnethack, the tiles all appear as grey squares. The xnethack script appears to be ok, at least HACKDIR points to the actual location of the tiles file. I\'ve seen this problem before under Debian linux but I don\'t know how to fix it.

Scott, I\'d like the exact opposite (Xnethack compiled for QT)!! I dont like the interface to QT nethack, and like the simpler more open look of the original nethack (since I use the keyboard almost exclusively anyway). You should be able to change tile size in the config file... you might have to go to nethack.org to get the exact syntax though..

ah! I never got completely into nethack on terminal (blashpemy, I know) ... and I use emacs, not vi.. etc.
but I enjoyed the QT nethack -- click to move... click on a wall to search... click on an enemy to fight... click click click.
I think it would be very possible to run the X version under QT via tinyX, etc. -- but I don\'t have that IPK
