Title: Wrong advertisement on the internet for G wireless CF card
Post by: zaferaktan on May 25, 2004, 12:23:06 pm
Some sites wrongly introduces the COMPEX WCF11 Compact Flash card as G wireless.  It is NOT.  It is a b wireless device.  They do NOT have a g wireless CF product.  Here is the e-mail I received from them.  So, do not order that card by mistake (if searching for a g wireless CF card).
hope this proves helpful.

Dear Zafer,
The WCF11 is a 802.11 b wireless card. Our 802.11g wireless cards are
WL54G. If you have any other questions feel free to let us know. Thanks.

All the sites that sell this product of yours think it is g wireless?  your
homepage (product info) indicates that it is b wireless.  Is it b wireless
or g wireless?

There is no G wireless card for CF, and there\'s no reason to make one.  The CF bus can\'t support the transfer speed anyway.
