Hello All.
Alot of communication with SharpUSA went on to try and get my SL-5500 to sync some Public Outlook (Exchange server clone) folders, that are shared to my Outlook.
Unfortunately, for all you users happy (or thrilled) with the advancements in the 3.10 ROM & Intellisync software, This is the responce from Sharp.
Unfortunately this will only communicate with local folders & folders directly on the Exchange Server. This will not work from another pc.
Thats right. To sync personal shared folders from an Exchange server, the Zaurus must be hooked up to THE ACTUAL Exchange server.
Which I find would be rediculous in most corporation environments where the Exchange server is not to be touched.
Wonder what features will go backwards in the next ROM release?
Wonder if any public developers will patch the 3.10 ROM for Intellisync 1.43E?
Just thought i should let others know, before they went through the frustration i did.

In followup to my previous post, this is another email from Sharp USA, further clarifing the deal with synchronization with shared folders.
Yes with the 3.10 rom upgrade the updated Intellisync software will only allow you to connect through the exchange server. So in fact if you are
not on the exchange server you will not be able to access the shared
folders. I apologize for the inconvenience I\'m sure this is causing, however this is how the update works.
Anyone have comments, or complaints about this?

Are you syncing email? Is that where a shared folder is?
I sync to Outlook on my work PC once a day (when it works), and have good results, but don't sync email. Office 2003 introduced a change that broke it until I changed the Outlook setting to "use cached exchange mode".
