I have no idea why, but in the last week or so a whole bunch of programs on my SL5500 (running OZ 3.3.5) have started segfaulting (or otherwise won\'t start up) when I try and launch them. I never had any problems with them before, and they all started playing up around the same time.
Here\'s the lowdown on what I get when I try the problem apps:
XMMS
From the console:
Processing plugin: /opt/QtPalmtop/lib/xmms/Output/liboss.so
Found oplugin
Processing plugin: /opt/QtPalmtop/lib/xmms/Input/libmplayer.so
Found iplugin
Processing plugin: /opt/QtPalmtop/lib/xmms/Input/libwav.so
Found iplugin
Processing plugin: /opt/QtPalmtop/lib/xmms/Input/libxmms-mad.so
Segmentation fault

Gaim
Fails with a SIGSEGV
VNC server
I try to launch these from the icons in the Applications tab, but the hourglass disappears after a few seconds, and the \"System Info\" monitor doesn\'t list \"fbvncserver\" as a process. Launching \"fbvncserver\" from a console gives me this:
Inconsistency detected by ld.so: dynamic-link.h: 62: elf_get_dynamic_info: Assertion `! "bad dynamic tag"\' failed!
Kismet
I use this with the GUI, and it has started giving me the \"Failed to connect to server\" error.
I\'ve tried reinstalling a couple of these apps, but it has made no difference. The only \"intrusive\" change I\'ve made on the Z in the past week, is implement the \"multiple WiFi profiles\" trick suggested in this thread (https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=4163). Looking back, I can see how it might have screwed up Kismet, but why have all these other apps gone bad?
Please tell me I don\'t have to reflash OZ to fix this  Many thanks for any suggestions.

Not that it helps you any, but I'm having the same problem with gaim.

Just fixed it, make sure you have libgaim-protocols installed from their feed:
