Hi,
I\'m trying to do a NAND restore of my C750 using an image from www.trisoft.de (a German distributor for Zaurii). I couldn\'t find an image elsewhere, some people refer to conics.net but their download page seems to be down.
I am following the \"usual\" procedure to get to the service menu, insert the card with the image on it and select \"NAND Flash Restore\". It then tells me \"SYSTC750.DBK: not exist file\" (sic). The card seems to be recognized, as without it, I get a different message (\"no strage\"). The file is on the card. I have also tried to format the card to see if the file system is not correct but it still does not work. The file is provided in a zip archive, so it should be complete. Also, this is exactly the card I have often used to flash both, my old 5500 and the C750 with OpenZaurus and pdaXrom, which always worked. What am I doing wrong?
Regards,
Mirko

try uppercase / lowercase...

It may/may not be the issue...
but we have come across instances where on some CF cards the Zaurus refuses to find the backup file. Work fine in every other way (can even back up to them, just can\'t restore afterwards).
Don\'t have any clear indicator as to which particular cards give a problem. e.g. we have a Integral 128 MB that does this (tried formating on PC, Z etc.) and 2 Integral 256 Mb cards that don\'t.
If you have access to one, try putting the bankup on a different card hand having another shot.

Does upper/lower case make any difference on FAT16 partitions? On my desktop box I can\'t even rename the file because it would be the same.
Does NAND restore from an SD card work, too? I know someone with a 128MB SD-card and will try this tonight.

Hi guys,
NAND restore won\'t work with every CF card.
We had a lot of customers facing problems while
restoring due to not fully recognized CFs.
Restore from SD will work too, the Zaurus checks
both slots and search for the systcxxx.dbk (watch
the lowercase !).
If you\'re unsure there is an easy test: Put in your
empty CF card and try a NAND backup first. After
this, try to restore the fresh backup. If this fails,
you have a \"not-really-Zaurus-compatible\" CF card.

Thanks for your replies. Tried it with the SD and everything worked smoothly.
