Has anyone found a decent replacement for Quicken on the Zaurus?
I\'ve tried tkcKapital, but I can\'t find a way to import .qif files on my SL-6000L, and theKompany doesn\'t seem interested in providing support.
I installed Jabp but get java.lang.NoClassDeffoundError: Jabp.Jabp error.
Qash Money will not install - ipk error.
This is my last \'must have\' app for the Zaurus, before I can dump my Palm/Windows systems.

If you do not mind switching to the pdaXrom: I have just compiled Grisbi (ipk (http://pmf.neominds.net/zfeed.php#grisbi)).
It imports QIF and if there is need, I can also compile a version with OFX-importing capabilities.
It is no double entry system, if you should need that.
Download: http://pmf.neominds.net/feed/grisbi_0.5.0_armv5tel.ipk (http://pmf.neominds.net/feed/grisbi_0.5.0_armv5tel.ipk)
Homepage of Grisbi-developers: http://www.grisbi.org/ (http://www.grisbi.org/)
If you need to know more about the pdaXrom, visit http://www.pdaxrom.org (http://www.pdaxrom.org).

It is to hard to compile this nice programm for QTopia? I think many people need good finance programm, but don\'t want to move to PdaXRom.
Sorry for bad english.

WIll it run under X/Qt?

Confirming you did install sqlite-arm_2.8.0_arm.ipk first?

No, I had not installed sqlite.
Hang on while I download & install . . .
Nope. sqlite-arm_2.8.0_arm.ipk generates the following installation error:
ipkg sys something went wrong. Sorry.
Not very informative, is it? Is Sharp using any programers from microsoft?
I noticed that there were later versions of sqlite available (2.8.5, 2.8.6). Will the later versions work with Qash Money?
Beware: rant to follow.
On a seperate, but related note:
One of the reasons for windows and palm dominance has been their singularity and compatibility with themselves. Conversly, one of the reasons *unix* has not dominated has been it\'s disunity and fragmentation.
It is disheartening to experience the effects of this culture even on the Zaurus. Software that works on the 5600 won\'t run on the 6000. Software that runs no this rom won\'t run on that rom. It seems to be a nearly impossible task to find a reasonable suite of applications that will all run on the same machine.
I know folks have good ideas and want to improve things, but, in the long run, I thing we are hurting ourselves by fragmenting the Zaurus base. so much.
End rant.
Maybe it is time to consider the rom hoping game, but I don\'t thing that there are any alternative roms for the 6000, yet. Is this correct?

Where are you installing to RAM or SD? If its SD try RAM and see what happens, As far as the newer versions of sqlite goes I see no reason why it should work!

The 2.8.6 did install ok, and it must be installed to ram.
Then Qash Money installed and ran fine.
Nice program. Much better than tkcKapital.
I\'ll spend more time with it over the week end.
Thanks for your help.

Glad to hear/see you got it working! 8)

Does QashMoney import QIF files reasonably well?
-
I didn\'t see any facility to import or export .qif files.
I wanted to import at least this years data from quicken, but was sufficiently pleased with the rest of the program to forego the history, and start fresh.
Qman:
We would really like to see your response to this and comment on any plans for this.
One other request would be to add comments/notes for transfer transactions.

WOW I just checked and you\'re correct there is no qif export!
As far as plans go I\'m just an end user, sorry!
