Title: What do I do now?
Post by: ads on June 10, 2004, 07:55:49 am
I seem to have done everything. Flashed all roms got nearly everything to work. Now I have a great set up using cacko qtopia(thanks maslovsky) that does everything I need it to and more. But where do I go from here? specifically what is the first and most useful language I need to learn in order to contribute to the development community....?

I could program almost anything in good old basic ( but got sidetracked...girls,beer,beer,girls...) luckily the zaurus has rekindled my passion and led me back to the path of the righteous

So frustrating having ideas and not being able to implement them

thanks ads

I suppose head on over to trolltech and start reading the tutorials there... the problem though is that the direction seems to be heading towards pdaxrom and so moving away from qtopia.

Start here:

http://www.zaurususergroup.com/modules.php...name=Developing (http://www.zaurususergroup.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=phpWiki&file=index&pagename=Developing)

After you setup a cross compiler, there is an example application. Also Qtopia documentation is rather good - read it.

That\'s a bit misleading - most users still use Qtopia, and most apps written specificly for the Zaurus are written for Qtopia (there\'s a lot of nice stuff coming out of Japan at the moment, most of which never gets listed on ZSI).
