I have a home desktop running Windows XP, a linksys wireless b router, a SL-5500 zaurus running OZ 3.2 and the cradle and a working wi-fi card for said zaurus. I use to be able to connect to my router using wifi card, but something happened and it\'s been so long and the post where I found out how to do it was lost along with sharp\'s dev board. so my problem is this. I have OZ on my zaurus, with no 3rd party apps, and no card reader to get files to it. the only way I can get files on there is via the cradle or card. I forgot how I did this last time, and if someone could tell me in the newbiest way possible how to do it I would be very grateful.

can someone plz help me? I have waited a whole day!

Have you tried using Intellisync file Transfer?
BTW what are you trying to install?

Use ftp to port 4242, username root, no password.
Or sftp, with root & root\'s password.
Simon
P.S. The Sharp file transfer app won\'t work.

ftp is not working, I am not sure what sftp is, and I can\'t even get a ping between the computer and the zaurus. the zaurus recognizes that it\'s connected to the computer, and auto assigned an IP of 192.160.129.201. I am using the original drivers for the USB cradle from SHarp as I heard this works in another post, and so far it recognizes whenever I put the zaurus in the cradle, and it also auto assinged an IP of 169.254.38.56 I also have the wifi card installed, but it\'s not picking up the network no matter what configuration I give it.
as for what I wanted to do, either install the Sharp ROM back on the Zaurus for compatbilities sake, or at least get all my original apps that I had back on thier, as I accidently deleted a number of them in the packeges utility until I figured it out.
I am not a newbie to computers, especially with wndows, but when it comes to anything Linux I am sorely lacking. thats why I got this PDA and also a few distro\'s of linux, in hopes of learning a thing or two.

This is a ZeroConf address. Change it manually to 192.168.129.200.
Then try pinging again.

SUCCESS!!! it was actually 192.160.129.200, but thats only becvause the Zaurus assigned itself the 160 instead of 168. I am forever and eternally in your debt!
now if only I can get the wi fi working so I can surf the net, I\'ll be all set. any ideas?
