what\'s the best bluetooth adapter for the Z? Using the new cacko rom??
I\'m not finding much on these. Is anyone using one? Is it worthwhile? Can you use in with a mac?
Thanks.

I have a ambicom bt cf card. I tested it against a PocketPC with built-in BT and it atleast recognizes it. Haven\'t been able to do anything else though.
Ambicom BT CF is a no-go on an XP though. The supplied drivers are crap. Seems ok on the Zaurus though.
I would recommend the Socket BT though just for its form factor! It doesn\'t even protrude like other cards. And the only company that has a Zaurus page in its website!

My recommendation would be what I use, an Armadillo Bluetooth CompactFlash card (model name BLUeCF, model number LSE039, website http://www.armadillo-accessories.com (http://www.armadillo-accessories.com) )
I picked one up on ebay for just under £20 / $32 US on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...egory=3730&rd=1 (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3058335926&category=3730&rd=1)
The drivers can be found easily for it (It uses the BlueZ series of drivers which can be found at http://www.killefiz.de/zaurus/showdetail.php?app=198 (http://www.killefiz.de/zaurus/showdetail.php?app=198) and they are installed pretty easily. A FAQ on bluetooth with the Zaurus\'s can be found at http://www.zaurususergroup.com/modules.php...ename=Bluetooth (http://www.zaurususergroup.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=phpWiki&file=index&pagename=Bluetooth)
Hope this helps

Fox, just curious, can you use 760s keyboard to sms via a BT phone?
-
Well I certainly know it\'s possible to access a mobile\'s sms database & phone book via bluetooth, I guess if you can find the application for it then yeah it should be more than possible.
This is what the ZSI (Zaurus Software Index) has to say on the matter: http://www.killefiz.de/zaurus/search.php?q=sms (http://www.killefiz.de/zaurus/search.php?q=sms)

okay, the Armadillo is the older version of the Blue Monkey BlueCF card. I got a Blue Monkey. The pointer you gave to download the driver for the 7xx says: NOTE: For BlueZ drivers for the Sharp 3.10 ROM or any other ROM based on this, using the same kernel, please download the drivers from here: http://community.zaurus.com/projects/bluez (http://community.zaurus.com/projects/bluez)
well, as you probably know, this is down. What now? Any ideas?

Here is the driver you need:
http://foxdie.timduru.org/zaurus/bluez-zau...2.4.18b_arm.ipk (http://foxdie.timduru.org/zaurus/bluez-zaurus_2.3-2.4.18b_arm.ipk)
Also you will need this as it\'s missing from the IPK and I have no idea how to repack it, save it to your /etc/bluetooth folder once you\'ve installed the IPK:
http://foxdie.timduru.org/zaurus/rfcomm.conf (http://foxdie.timduru.org/zaurus/rfcomm.conf)
When you\'ve installed that you can follow the rest of the HOWTO in the link in my previous post to get bluetooth fully working and paired with your phone.

Thanks! community.zaurus.com came again; I got it working. Now I just need to get a bluetooth phone (hehe). But believe it or not, my bluetooth mac found the zaurus. Though that was about it.

I have an 860, and I have the AirCable bluetooth \"plug-in\". Works like a charm after you do a bit of \"fiddling\" (documented by them and on here - use SEARCH) and it seem to take a LOT less power than my bluetooth CF card (Socket), plus I get to keep my CF and SD slots available. I\'m using this with a Motorola Timeport 270C bluetooth.
