Post by: cowcow on June 19, 2004, 09:31:57 am

What is the original VPN software?  I have tried vpnc and can't figure it out at all.  What steps have you tried?  I have a Cisco 3000 which is what vpnc was tested against so if I can just figure out how to read the script I might be able to get it going.

cowcow,
Will you please tell me about the 860 vpn client?  I would like to buy the 860, but I can't find any info anywhere regarding it's vpn client.

I need to be sure it's there, and then I would buy a unit to test it out.

I specifically will be running IPSEC with agressive mode IKE and preshared IKE keys.

Thanks,
Matt

What vpns have you tested?
Is IPSEC one of the options?
IPSEC is becoming pretty popular, and there are now many home routers that use it, and my corporate router (a netscreen 50) uses it, and our business partners router (a 3com) uses standard IPSEC as well.
I would be happy to help you test it.
Could you post or email me some screendumps of the settings utility?
Thanks,
Matt
