Title: network globe and hostap
Post by: cowcow on June 21, 2004, 08:15:09 am
I\'ve installed hostap drivers, (previously was on the wlan-ng), now after rebooting, the network globe( with GUI shortcuts to the various WIFI connections) is no longer there.
Clicking on the \"Network\" app, it shows that there is no current service.

Is there any files in /etc/pcmcia/* that i need to create to re-enable this?

ROM] SHARP original
MODEL] C860

if i switch back to wlan-ng (by moving /etc/pcmcia/.wlan-ng.conf to /etc/pcmcia/wlan-ng.conf and restarting pcmcia) the network globe is back!

Ussual cause is no network defined on Z.  Check network and re-add if lost.

You may need to add information about your card (cardctl ident) into /etc/hostap_cs.conf, then restart pcmcia (/etc/rc.dinit.d/pcmcia restart)
