I'm using Winscp to move files back and forth from my work W2K pc to my Z (Cacko 1.21B). Transfers from the Z to the pc work fine, but large files going from my pc to the Z periodically error out "connection reset by peer" or "host has not responded in 15 seconds - Abort or Retry". The error is inconsistant, sometimes 50 mg files will transfer fine, other times it will choke on 12 mg files. File less than 1 mg so far have never failed.
I've fiddled with the sshd-config file and set the ClientAlive setting up to 120 and the ClientAliveMaxcount to 10. On the Winscp side; file resume is disabled, I've tried the various Keepalive settings - send dummy protocol commands and send null ssh packets, neither setting has helped.
Anyone else had this problem?
Cheers,
Jerry

Yes, I've had this problem too. It also occurs using plain FTP. I've only seen it happen when xfering to my SD card but I haven't really tested CF or internal flash.
I haven't managed to find a solution. I've been hoping that someone smarter than me would.

Yes raybert, it is occuring with files I had backed up from my SD card. I'll test it later today with my CF card. It may be related to the funky SD drivers. I noticed maslovsky is looking at the new CL860 ROM's SD module, maybe next Cacko ROM will have better SD drivers

Yup, seems to be related to the SD, and I'm guessing the SD module. I backed up and restored my CF card with no connection problems. The only other variable, I haven't tested is writing to an SD that is fat formatted instead of ext2 (I'm using ext2 so I can symlink from the card to internal memory) I also haven't tried transfering files from my linux box to the SD. I"ll try that next. I wouldn't think will make a difference but you never know

Hi all,
i have the same problem ("connection reset by peer") no matter how.
I tried:
putty with and w/o ssh
winscp
telnet
ftp
ws_ftp pro
i even tried to have top running on putty, to prevent idle-time and at the same time winscp to transfer data to the cf. All worked fine except for the very short lifespan of the session.
i have no idea left, but certainly it's not a matter of SD-drivers or anything related.
On the contrary, it never happens when i transfer data when set to storage mode.
i'd be glad if anyone could tell me/us how to cure this.
