Title: Wireless Modem for 6KL

Finally got my Z!!!  

I'd really like to get Wireless WAN access. I'd love an RxTT (128kpbs) CF, although I have heard rumors that a new tech was coming out that's much faster.  

I checked out Sprint's "Sprint PCS Connection Card (CF2031) but it seems only to support 'Doze/PocketPC.  Does anyone know where I can a good wireless modem for my Z (RxTT or faster would be a plus)?

With the USB host capabilities you should be able to connect your 6KL to a sprint phone and use it for 1xRTT capabilities.  Of course it breaks the T&C of the sprint contract, but I have occasionally done this with a laptop and would love to do it with my c7X0, but no USB host...

Problem is, I don't have a Sprint phone =] (AT&T) And anyways I'd like to keep the all-in-one aspect of the Z. As much of it "internal" as possible.

I'm using a CF2031 with my SL5600 with Sprint. It seems to work fairly well. I also use an Aerlink npc with my Verizon phone. This is not high speed but about 12k. There is a high speed option for Verizon but I've never tried it.

As far as the CF2031 working with the 6000, I can't say at the moment but I'll be able to tell you next week!

CF2031 drivers for the 5600 and the 6000 can be found at SDG Systems website. There is limited functionality for the Zaurus. You cannot use the cell phone functions (afaik) as with the ppc/pc. hth.

Just to follow up to my previous post: I received my 6000 and I have successfully tested the Sprint CF-2031 connection card. hth.

Thanks for the feedback on the 1XRTT card w/6k.  Still no voice access I assume ?

I wonder if you could use one of the Linux VoIP programs to shunt voice/cell calls through the 2031.?

I own a Zaurus sl 5500 and a sl 5600 and I work for Sprint. My CF2031 (also called a Yiso card) works very well. One warning: use the battery with the Zaurus.
