Title: Targus PA560 CF modem on SL5500 with OZ 3.2 setup?
Post by: the_oak on June 23, 2004, 11:29:08 pm
I have read from other posts that this modem (Targus PA560 CF modem) works with the SL5500. But I cannot get it to work. Zaurus detects it as "Serial or Modem" in the taskbar, and shows "serial" and "serial_cs" modules loading. But when I go to Network setup, there is no entry for the modem, only usbd0, eth0, eth1, and wlan0. When I click on the "Add" button, it says "Nothing to add". Those of you who are using this modem with Openzaurus 3.2, what modules are loading, or what drivers did you install?

Just to let everyone know, my Targus PA560 CF modem works with the SL5500 *AFTER* switching to thekompany rom 1.0. Maybe it works also with the Openzaurus 3.2 rom, but I am not smart enough to get it to work with that rom. Thekompany rom also seems to drain the battery less, and it does not refuse to let me eject my network card.
