All,
Did one of you manage to make a GPRS connection from the Zaurus using a SE T610 through IRDA (I know it is possible to do it via Bluetooth but I would like to make it work through IRDA) ?
Thanks

I have managed to dial out using my T68 and the 5500. It didn't feel any faster than an analog CSD connection though. The slowness may just mean that T-Mobile has lousy GPRS. I didn't investigate.
I just used the regular Network Wizard, entering the GPRS phone number *99***4# and it made a connection. I believe the 4# selects the fourth GPRS connection in my phone (?).

Which ROM are you using? I believe the Sharp 3.10 ROM supposedly has IrDA problems related to dialing out with IR phones. It is mentioned as one of the things possibly fixed in the 3.13 ROM.

I don't think it was fixed in 3.13. I have 3.13 and it never worked with my SE T616 (I can make my Psion Revo to dial using this phone). It is something todo with Sharp rom. People reported that they didn't have any problem with 2.xx roms.
There is an old thread in Zaurus.com talking about this http://www.zaurus.com/dev/board/index.php?act=ST&f=3&t=4672 (http://www.zaurus.com/dev/board/index.php?act=ST&f=3&t=4672). You may find more threads if you search for T610 or T616.

I'm using Openzaurus 3.3.6pre1
and the zaurus says 'initializing' and is pending there ....

FYI - Using Cacko ROM has allowed me to connect my 5500 over IRDA to GPRS on my SE T300.
See the sticky topic in the Sharp ROMS forum.
