Title: GAIM?
Post by: javab0y on July 02, 2004, 11:35:44 am
It is beginning to look to me that QPE-GAIM has been abandoned.  The last update was in February, promising a .5 release.  There has been no update since.

I would like to ask folks out there if anyone knows the author and ask him to please post the source of .4 to SourceForge, so that we may take it over as a community and fix the software ourselves. (Anyone know why he keeps the recent source versions closed?)  I only can find th .3 version source.

I may take a shot at recompiling libgaim and see if the .3 version works with it.  This may make it usable again..but my time is very limited.

Anyone who has input on this situation would be very much appreciated.  I really miss using this program on my Z.

Any update on this?   I was thinking of trying to compile (Meanwhile (http://meanwhile.sourceforge.net/) which is a module for Gaim that implements the Lotus/IBM Sametime protocol.    If the project is dead though I won't bother....
