Title: lodged "Fn" key?
Post by: litlady on December 09, 2003, 05:46:49 pm
 I seem to have somehow locked the Fn key on my SL-5500. I was typing away on the bus last week, when suddenly I started typing jibberish instead of alpha characters. I checked to be sure the key wasn\'t lodged, and it\'s in the right position. However, only the Fn characters appear on screen (! for A, @ for S, 1 for Q, etc). The strange thing is that cut, paste & copy are all Fn options, and yet they don\'t work unless I actually depress the Fn key. So, apparently, it\'s only the alpha characters that are locked. I\'m thinking that I must\'ve bumped something and inadvertently typed a shortcut code that locked the Fn in place, and I don\'t know how to undo it. Any tips? Thanks in advance for your expertise.
