Hi!
Is anybody currently running OZ on a C860? Just wondering if it is worth trying out.
Thanks!

I don't think so... get cacko... oh and x/qt!

I was for a day or so (just got the zaurus on Friday). I was using the 3.6.x-pre1 release from the 'experimental' directory. It worked okay, but there were quite a few features that didn't quite work right. The screen rotation wouldn't seem to work, and battery status always seemed to be 100% even after an hour of wifi use. Also, the media player was playing at what seemed to be double-speed, on both mp3/ogg files.
YMMV

I ran it for a few days after I got my c860 (early Feb). It worked, but I had problems with some apps and it was a bit glitchy. I also had problems with desktop syncing--a must have for me.
If I did not need syncing it may have been the way to go, the development community seemed more active.
I must add however if it wasn't for OZ I would not have purchased the c860. I decided that if I could run my three top apps (ssh, vnc, and a browser) at 640x480 that I'd plop down the $550US for a c860.
A week after I had OZ installed I noticed Cacko, installed it and never looked back. Cacko with X/qt has been the way to go for me. YMMV.

Hi Guys
Thanks a lot for your feedback. I have been very happy with the stock 1.40jp Sharp ROM so far, but I will be getting my SD card and reader soon to flash to Cacko - have only read good things about it. I also want to get a Socket BT CF card and it seems the support for it on Cacko is the best of any ROM so far.
Thanks again for all the feedback!
