Title: TCP/IP network dropping over USB
Post by: omega on July 08, 2004, 07:46:03 am
The network server seems to crash under a load of strain. This particulary happens when using VNC over usb. VNC will exit, indicating a dropped connection. From that point on i can't ping the zaurus or send/receive data.

I have to remove the usb plug and reconnect. It's getting pretty annoying today and frequent for some reason...

I've been trying the Cacko ROM for the past week, I also get this problem, however it's more often when I'm trying to transfer large files with sftp.

It may be related to the Sharp Windows USB drivers but I've not tested with Linux so I can't say for sure.

Hi,

This problem has been mentioned in a few other threads.

I just posted a summary with links to the other threads on this thread: A little problem of using 4GB Microdirve on Z, Stops when writing lots of data (https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=5948&st=0&#entry36979)

Please take a look at that thread.

Thanks,
