I have an SL-5000d (if you havent read my GPS post) and i'm wondering about the power take on it.
I have a D-Link DCF-650W lan card, which isnt the best, but it works.
Even before i got the lan card, this thing sucks down my battery's power in no time at all. If i'm lucky i'll get a total of 1 hour from it without lan and 30-40 minutes with lan which frankly sucks when its compared to my old IPAQ and a Dell Axim X5 i borrowed from school.
So whats the deal? i bought this used with this battery, is the battery going bad? should i expect more power from my Z? what my alternatives besides a car charger for when its in the car with me?

Dude, try searching the board here, many users have found/made external battery packs, car power adapters, wall warts, etc.
Also the battery in the Z is good for about 1000 charges, which would be about 3 years if recharged only once a day. Yours may be wearing out. New ones are a bit pricey but you have to have one in the Z to use it.
