Title: How to tell if SD is flakey?
Post by: altarity on July 08, 2004, 12:53:00 pm
I just got a sl-5500 off of e-bay, and I'm really having fun with it.   I've flashed every rom that I can get my hands on and I think I like OZ 3.3.5 the best. I bought a Kingston 512mb SD card so that I could move  /opt and /home off of flash and have lot's of room for applications.

I was able to move said directories over to the SD card and link then to the root on the flash and everything works fine, as long as I don't go into suspend...  If I do that and start up again, the Zaurus can't see the diretories that I moved to the SD card, and basicly nothing works. If I reboot then everything will work up until a suspend.

Does this sound like a flakey SD card, or am I doing something fundamentally wrong?

FYI,

A response in another forum, pointed me to a new sd/mcc module available in the downloads section of this website.  It works like a charm.  Suspend and Resume work great, and I'm a happy camper.
