Title: CF Modem error
Post by: sterr on July 08, 2004, 08:23:33 pm
I have updated my SLc760 to Cacko 121b ROM, and my AmbiCom CF modem has quit working. I get the error message "CF card typeserial device is busy" when trying to connect to dialup account. I found in another post if one used the file /etc/pcmcia/serial  from the 1.20 ROM, it would fix the problem. Has enyone else experienced this? Have a fix or post the /etc/pcmcia/serial file from the 1.20 ROM?

I installed Cacko 1.21b yesterday. It is super. However, I have this same problem. I set up my dialup connection and when I try to connect, I get an error that says: Dialup, CF card type serial device is busy. Help.

Try the following command as root:

cardctl suspend

This problem was supposed to be fixed in 1.21b, but it somehow it's still there...
I think I need to get myself a CF modem to make sure it works properly...
