Title: Initial charge questions

I have a new SL-5500.

1. The manual says to let it charge for 24 hours the first time.  Is it okay to use the Z during this time as long as it's plugged in?

2. Because this 24-hour charge is, according to the FAQ, for the backup battery, if I have a second battery I do not have to let it charge for 24 hours, right?

I think they are refering to the standby 'battery' which holds settings while you change out the main battery.
