Hi all, I've been toying with my Z 5600 for a few months now. Lately, I've been having problems with my onboard flash getting full. So I re-flash it but now its not emptying.
Specifically, I use Zynergy Rom to flash, but the onboard flash always shows as 100% usage in df output. The little disk usage meter on in Qtopia seems to think there is space, but I trust df a bit more.
Any help you can offer as to how I can clean up my onboard flash would be helpful. Its interesting cause when I delete stuff df still doesn't show any more free space.
thanks in advanced.

You need to do a 'Format' from the maintenance menu. Reflashing alone does not clear the flash memory (which can be a good thing because then you can upgrade your ROM without losing any data).

Forgot to mention that I guess, but format doesn't change anything either, but thanks for the idea tumnus. Any other ideas? I'm thinking about flashing back to sharp rom to see if that makes any differences.

The script that deals with wiping the internal memory is /root/etc/rc.d/rc.rofilesys , or at least that is where it exists on the Sharp ROM. Maybe it is missing or has been modified on the Zynergy ROM which causes it not to work properly.

Don't know if this is any help but the flash on my 5600 also kept filling up. I found that the voice recorder button was getting pushed when the Zaurus was in my rucksack, and the resultant 20 minute soundfile was using up all the memory.

Errrm, you sure you aren't reading a listing of space available on the read only ROM space, instead of the read/write?
Can you create new files even though it's "full"? If so, you're probably misreading it somehow.

I have 2 Zaurus with different maintenance menu outputs. Is there a tutorial somewhere on Zaraus maintenace menu useage??
