Title: SR: VNC Server needed for Zaurus X11 ROM

Another idea I just had is the SR: tag, Software Request (it saves on a long thread title)..

Okay here\'s the software I\'d love, a VNC server running on my X11 ROM C760 so I don\'t have to aim well with the stylus (my hands shake a little)..

I\'m not sure if VNC clients for Qtopia ROM work for the X11 ROM, has someone tried this?

If they don\'t work could we have some nice caring person who likes us port VNC to the X11 ROM and IPK it in exchange for mucho pats on the back?

Hi Foxdie,

I\'m going to try to compile the Tight VNC client and server this weekend when I find some free time. But the Tight VNC Server won\'t help you aim better, because it\'s a special X11 Server that runs in the background as daemon.

I wonder if there\'s a really small mouse that\'ll work with the Zaurii..

maybe try use fbvnc http://www.cacko.biz/test321/soft/vncserver.tar.gz (http://www.cacko.biz/test321/soft/vncserver.tar.gz) (sources)
http://www.cacko.biz/test321/soft/fbvncser...0_0.9.4_arm.ipk (http://www.cacko.biz/test321/soft/fbvncserver-slc7x0_0.9.4_arm.ipk)

originally this package fbvnc server for Qtopia 1.18 ROM, but must work with  X11 too, maybe will need some small fixes.
