Hi,
I'm going to get a CF wlan adapter for my Zaurus SL-5500G. I'm using OpenZaurus (3.2 image and stable branch currently).
For my home network, I'm planning to use WPA-based encryption (with a RADIUS server for authentication). The same setup is being used at a company I occasionally work for.
In the University, there are two wlan providers. Both use some kind of ipsec/vpn solution.
Now, I'm completely unsure which CF card I should get. Ipsec is somewhere above the wlan level so it should be no problem as long as the card itself is supported by some kernel driver included in OZ. But I don't know yet if there are any special requirements for using WPA-based encryption. I've already asked google, but I wasn't able to find useful information.
So, can you please help me with that?
Thanks in Advance,
rdo

Good luck on the security stuff though, from my knowledge, you'll be lucky to get the vpn stuff to work

AFAIK .. there are currently no software support for WPA (only WEP).. and the VPN support is a bit flakey

I believe that the HostAP (http://hostap.epitest.fi/) drivers will do WPA.
I've been meaning to try them out myself for a while now...

Yes, latest verison of hostap drivers support WPA. I tried them, but my access point seems to lack proper WPA support, although it claims to.
