I have all these *.lit books I bought a while back for my iPaq. I've done research on converting these to use on my Zaurus, and came up with the .clit.exe (convert .lit) option on google. Yet I haven't been able to find it properly or what I have found, a way to get it to work.
I have the qtopia on my C860.
Anyway thoughts/advice?

https://www.oesf.org/downl...lit_1.4_arm.ipk (http://www.elsix.org/downloads/clit_1.4_arm.ipk) or http://zaurus.spy.org/feeds/misc/ipkgs/clit_1.4_arm.ipk (http://zaurus.spy.org/feeds/misc/ipkgs/clit_1.4_arm.ipk)
You can also get the latest Convert lit version from http://www.convertlit.com/ (http://www.convertlit.com/) . You will need to compile it yourself if you have a cross-compiler or you can get the windows binaries.
Note: If you are American or British it is illegal for you to download and run this program! Thank your Congress and Parliment for the DMCA and UK implementation of EUCD

I convert my .lit books to Mobipocket format to read on the Zaurus in Opie Reader or JustReader.
I wrote about my latest adventures here: http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=30383 (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=30383)
As long as you keep up to date with the Convert Lit versions everything works great.

Thanks, you guys are fantastic!
I hope to contribute more as I get to know and get comfortable more with my wonderful C860.
BTW I *just* received my Piel Frama black case and really love it! (Tried the Xigma case and didn't like it so much)

from your above link
Hmmm, I know I have the newest version of ConvertLit, what's going on? Aha, what's this little ReaderKeyRecoveryTool in aid of? Click on this, mess about a bit and it finally works.
ReaderKeyRecoveryTool is used to create keys.txt from your Registered MS Reader.
You can then copy that file to any machine to converd DRM5 lit files.
Read the ReadMe.txt that came with your version of clit or run clit with out any arguments to see the info about RederKeyRecoveryTool

Thanks Stubear, I guess I'm not one for reading the instructions so I discovered the solution by trial and error.
I must say, I'm glad the convert lit guy goes to all this trouble or it would be hard to get books to read on the Z. I have no problem paying for my books, but I do want the ability to read them in the format I want. Thanks to ConvertLit, I can do just that. For me, it's well worth the trouble.
By the way, I'm really enjoying reading Neal Stephenson while waiting for George RR Matrtin to get finished.

Try Memoware, they have a lot of their books available in plucker format and palmdoc format that works well with Opie-Reader (Thanks Tim)
I've used a ConvertLit a lot, but then I don't live in a country where it is illegal to download and run the app
If you really like the app, write your congressman and tell him what a piece of crap the DMCA is. Otherwise apps like ConvertLit will become a thing of the past.

Me! , but not the first one!
decided to try the latest version (1.8), so that you can downsize DRM6 files anywhere (even on the Z!) as long as you have access to a registered copy of MS Reader to create the keys.txt file from
Can't attach the file here
I'll try putting it into the uploads area and make a link
Stu
P.S Thanks for the original ipk Maslovsky (and all the other hard work you have put into the Z community.

Can't upload to the downloads area either - may be a problem at the ZUG end casue I've tried IE, FireFox (linux & NT) and Mozilla - all give the same upload file format error.
I'll try again tomorrow, if anynoe wants the clit1.8 version ipk PM me and I'll email it to you
