Title: Applications simply just not opening

Hello,
I know i've posted a fair few questions on this board but thats only cause I have had just so many problems. Also, i'm asking these questions so that any other newbies here can get some answered just like I do

Anyway here is the question,  I have this odd occurance of applications simply not opening up in OZ3.2. I click on the icon and then wait but nothing happens. This has happened with certain programs like Qtmail. It just seems to hang and not open. However, this has somehow fixed itself just the other day and it opens but then now im stuck with another program called qash money (accounting software) and it does the same thing by just not showing. I looked at the tasks open but cant make sense of what is what. I still ahve 8mb free and 12mb chached so i dont THINK the software runs out of memory. Even after i click on quah money i can still open other files and program and everything seems to be OK... any ideas??

Did you try to start them from am terminal ?
Look up the command from /opt/QtPalmtop/apps/Applications/whatever.desktop it should be locatet in /opt/QtPalmtop/bin/

To second what tobias said, make sure you 'cd /opt/QtPalmtop/bin' before trying to run the command which you found in the .desktop file (as this path is not always in the PATH env var).

When you try to run the binary make sure you tack a ./ on the front - so to run a binary called 'octave' in /opt/QtPalmtop/bin you'd do:

# cd /opt/QtPalmtop/bin
# ./octave

ok well i havent tried it just yet.. but just a question off the topic, how do you display the directory files in the konsole? in md-dos its just dir to show all files but whats its equivlent in linux/oz3.2 (yes, im really clueless about linux, heavy win xp user wanting to migrate)

Ok it didnt work for that app, it says
qashmoney (the software): error occured while loading shared libraries libsqlite.so: cannt open shared ojvect file, no such file or directories

i supposed i need to refer to the feeds ??

damn.... the OZ site doesn't have the libsqlite.so!! where do i get it from...

before anyone answers let me tell u the whole deal...

the qashmoney program uses java platform to run so therefore i figured that Joede should be what i install to get it up and running right? (i downloaded it from Sharp's website from their Apps section)

Then i installed this to RAM... what else should i do??
