Are the drivers for the Socket wifi CF card built into the 1.32 rom? I thought it would be cool learning Linux on the Z, but being a newbie I\'m totally lost on how to get this working on my 5600. I don\'t really know the commands used in the terminal to manipulate the files. Can any one point me to a site or give me some help? I tried to follow this but am totally lost (http://www.iral.com:88/~albertr/zaurus/spectrum/)

I have a symbol spectrum24 which I believe is the exact same card as the socket, and it works well on my 5600 with the 1.32 rom with no tweaks. The driver is already built in. However, I can\'t get wep to work just yet.
At first I though it wasn\'t working.
I entered my wireless networking details etc but the \"current\" tab under the networking dialogue said that there was no access point. I figured like you that there was something wrong with the drivers etc.
Actually there was nothing wrong with the card or drivers. I had simply failed to click on the little globe icon on the taskbar with a red cross through it. This then asks if you want to connect to the network, which it then did very successfully.
Perhaps you have made the same silly error that I did?

Thanks, I now think it may be my Ad-Hoc networking setup on my computer giving me the headaches, gonna go pick up a wireless router instead.

I never did get this card to work on my 5500.
Even after downloading a driver, I still have no luck with this card. I bought it becuase I read somewhere that it has better range.
