Post by: Dr.HerbertWest on August 09, 2004, 07:02:11 pm
I am using 1.0.5 pdaxrom with kismet. I have a spectrum24 wireless card my only question is on the source line should i have it it using spectrum_cs?

my card seems to be stuck in busy any one know why? i get a warning now when i try to use kismet

says my card is not fully working that i should restart or reconfigure it

then kismet exits

hi doc -

i also have the same issue - installing an older version solved my problem. Does anyone else have any idea why the latest version doesn't work well with the symbol cf ?

good luck!

Kismet requires a patched version of the spectrum and orinoco drivers (to enable monitor mode).  Also earlier versions of kismet 3.x didn't have a needed delay so  would confuse the card.

I think it was iwconfig or iwpriv to turn on monitor - if it doesn't work you need to update the driver.
