Title: HELP!!! My clock is gone
Post by: ShiroiKuma on August 11, 2004, 11:43:58 pm
Hi, I need help with this one.

I was installing some apps, messing around... And the taskbar tray clock has disappeard, the one in the lower righthand corner. I think it was after I installed the qtopia-brightness applet, but can't swear, since I didn't realize it immediatly.

I've since uninstalled the brightness applet, but the clock didn't come back.

What can I do?

OK, got it.

Somehow the three following symlinks disappeared, so to get the clock back had to do the following:

Code: [Select]
cd /home/QtPalmtop/plugins/applets/
su
ln -s libclockapplet.so.1.0.0 libclockapplet.so.1.0
ln -s libclockapplet.so.1.0.0 libclockapplet.so.1
ln -s libclockapplet.so.1.0.0 libclockapplet.so

and reboot, and it's back.

It uses a different font now, seems before it was bold, now it's regular, so it's really thin, which beats me, dunno why, but at least it's there.

Does anyone know how the change the font?

Later.

For me it displays in regular font. It never was bold. I have 5500 and running Sharp rom 3.13.
