Has anyone any suggestions on connecting external mics with the sl6000? USB. bluetooth or some other way? (I really miss the audio-in jack)
Thanks,

The jack is the same as the 5xxx series just smaller. You can use a cellphone headset.

you mean i can plug in a mic there? then how come the symbol is headphones only? (I'm going to try one out later today)
Thanks,

yup. works perfect. Saw the impedance post about mikes.

It's "undocumented" that a mic is capable of working off this jack. Also, it may even have the remote control functions of previous units, although I haven't seen anyone verify this.
BTW, anyone know how to define a USB headset as the default audio source, rather than the headset jack? My 6000 sees the headset, but apps seem to default to the other port. Is this a configuration change for each app?
