Title: Best ROM for..
Post by: seekyrr on September 01, 2004, 09:57:02 am
Looking for advice on what ROM would be best for a SL-5500 which is mainly going to be used for wireless tools, scanning, AP sniffing, nmap Kismet etc.

Don't care about games and such.

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

Cacko Rom for 55500 does all that plus (you need an SD card) it puts all data on SD so no more loss of data when battery dies or is switched.

Very best in my opinion.

Click here for Cacko download page (http://www.zaurususergroup.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=UpDownload&file=index&req=viewsdownload&sid=30)

You might want to take a look at OZ too - writable root so you can remove what you don't want and replace with the tools you do want. Plus you can install .deb files should you need anything which isn't available as an ipk.

Cacko is the one that sets the ram at 64 instead of 32/32?

Does it default to SD or can you use CF card instead?

Edit:  I read the docs better..question answered.
