Title: tkcROM flash procedure?

What\'s the reason there isn\'t a zImage file for the tkcROM?

I have the C860.

Do I just put the initd.bin and updater.sh on a CF card and do the flash procedure?

Hi Matt

Proto hasn\'t got round to doing a kernel yet and maybe he won\'t as I think he feels the std Sharp kernel is O]k Basicaly you can use any kernel based on the sharp one so the cacko one, for example, would be fine. One word of warning if you have repartitioned your device with sash\'s updater you will need to reset it back first.

what is the difference between cacko kernel and the Sharp one? Is there a list of the differences?

The cacko kernel AFAIK is the same as the Sharp one. The Sukoshi kernel added iptables and korean nls which you can get here

and finally javab0y has done one with the latest wireless drivers this is available here in the ZUG downloads.

If the cacko kernel is the same as the Sharp one with nothing changed, why is it called the cacko kernel?

The cacko rom was under 25mb and so he was able to repartition the /home directory to have about 96mb.  The tkcrom was about 30mb so that meant you would have to repartition for the bigger rom.  The latest tkcrom for the 760 is stripped down to about 23mb so this might not be a problem anymore.

Thanks.  But is there anything I need to do to achieve this, or will it happen automagically when I install the tkROM in the usual way?
