Had a quick question.
I've been toying about with OZ 3.3.5 on my decrepit ol 5000D, and it looks fantastic so far! But in my haste to start screwing around, I tried a few more advanced apps like MaxMAME and ScummVM.
Both of these, started from a shell within Opie, give me a "QApplication: there can be max one application object" error.
Starting ScummVM from the Opie interface gives me a loverly SIGSEGV dialog box...
Additionally, xmms just sits there dumbly. I can select an mp3, but it won't play (perhaps I'm missing something obvious).
Any suggestions on these? I must say, OZ has given my Z a new lease on life, but it's still slow going some.

No idea, sorry.

Again, no idea.

Have you installed mplayer (which is required to produce sound, xmms is just the front-end)? In any case try running xmms from the command line and see what it says.

Actually, I did have limited success with xmms using .ogg files (perhaps I'm missing an mp3 library). However, although the sound was lovely, the user interface completely locked up once playback started, so I was unable to stop the song, and in fact had to ssh in and reboot the beast that way.
...so perhaps I'll stick with opie-mediaplayer2 (which also does not play my mp3, indicating that it is a library problem more than anything else).
Thanks for the response. It's the other two that are really getting me. Maybe there's something I'm missing about the way ScummVM and MaxMAME are accessing the screen (documentation on both is... "sketchy", to be kind).
Very perplexing!

Hmm. Turns out I was able to fix some of the errors by installing the version of SDL that is at http://www.gnurou.org/software/zaurus/ (http://www.gnurou.org/software/zaurus/) rather than the one on the feeds.
Go figure... it also fixed MaxMAME (though it's too slow to really be useful).
