Post by: seekyrr on September 11, 2004, 02:37:06 pm
Any way to save profiles for wireless connections in OZ 3.3.6pre1?

There is a profile tab in net connections but its always greyed out.

Thanks

No, the disabled "profiles" tab has never been finished by whoever added it.
AFAIK is has been removed from recent networkconfig builds.

I myself  got around this by mapping the different schemes manually into /etc/network/interfaces. I used the following page as a guideline.

http://www.shallowsky.com/linux/networkSchemes.html (http://www.shallowsky.com/linux/networkSchemes.html)
(scroll down to the Debian section).

Once I got that working OK, I used Opie-SH to bring up a dialog box with a drop-down menu where I could simply select the preferred scheme and click OK.
