Title: Damn blueteeth!
Post by: petesouthan on September 12, 2004, 08:12:50 am
Please excuse my appearing an idiot! I am a relative Linux newbe, I am very keen though!

Can anyone help. I have a SL-680 (Sharp ROM) and an Ambicom BT 2000 CF card.

I have installed: bluez, bt950 driver,qt network applet,suspend-resume patch, sudo, as directed on this site: http://www.zaurususergroup.com/modules.php...ename=Bluetooth (http://www.zaurususergroup.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=phpWiki&file=index&pagename=Bluetooth)

I followed instructions from the link above but can not get the darn thing going!
when I run hciconfig it tells me "can't get device info: No such device"

and "sdptool browse" just returns "inquring..." "inquiry failed"

any help would be greatly appreciated, I am sure it's only something silly.
Thanks
Pete

Which ambicom card do you have? One works and one doesn't. What does the command 'cardctl ident' output with your card in your Zaurus.

Also see here: http://www.zaurususergroup.com/modules.php...oothCardSupport (http://www.zaurususergroup.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=phpWiki&file=index&pagename=BluetoothCardSupport)

Thanks for the reply.
I get the line "Ambicom_BT2000C"
is this good or bad?
