Title: Writing Programs
Post by: SJR3t120 on September 13, 2004, 06:43:15 pm
How do I go about starting to write programs for SL-5X00s?  I can see myself writing programs under windows of linux.  What tools do I need for either OS?

Start with the information here:

Especially, the "Compiler Setup", "Cross compiling (non-Qtopia) tips", and "Developer downloads" sections

Hi,
in another posting you mentioned that you are using Openzaurus. In this case please have a look at openembedded.org wiki. I remember also someting like 5600? In this case you could also be a great help, if you decide.
Cheers,
Sam

I would love to start helping with the OZ project.  Right now I don't have much time, but maybe in a month I will.  When I do start I will need help in what to do, as I am a newbie to linux.  I have gone back and forth thru the years of using it.  But I have some  hobby goals that I want to do under linux, so I hope this will get me going more.
