Title: Screen resizing
Post by: b2bpro on December 16, 2003, 05:46:34 pm
I thought I saw something (prior to buying my 860) about the ability to resize the screen - increase / decrease the resolution.  Is there some way to do that?

My problem is that I like small fonts and, while most apps allow you to resize the fonts in the data area, the menus / window title / etc stay the same size chewing up valuable real estate.

No, I don\'t know of any way to resize the screen.  The only two options we have are 640x480 or 320x240, and the latter is only by launching apps \"magnified\" which generally looks crappy and you lose the ability to multi-task.

I think what you really want is system font resizing. If you are a (potential) OpenZaurus user this would make a good feature request for the Opie team. I\'m sure there is some switch in QtE to change the font (though the change probably does not trickle down to presently open apps).

This would fall under the \"accessibility\" category and there already is at least one accessibility feature in OZ: you can move the vertical scroll bar in Konsole to the left side of the window (I\'m left-handed and it\'s a huge plus since I don\'t cover the screen with my hand when scrolling).
