Title: Can Sharp PIM Apps be Modified
Post by: dfisher on September 23, 2004, 09:09:28 am
Hi,

I was wondering if the source for Sharp's PIM apps is available.  I'd like to create an option in the To-Do application that will display *only* the current day's outstanding tasks.  Should be pretty easy right?  Having this feature would make the device much more similar to paper day planning systems.  Plus, looking at that long list of outstanding tasks every day can be quite depressing!

Does anyone know?  I'm a 5500 user so Ko/Pi is probably not an option for me due to the size of my screen.  I tried the kompany's To-Do app and hated it.

Thanks,
Doug

Sharp's PIM apps are completely propriertary and closed-source I'm afraid.

KO/PI should be fine on a 5500. Have you tried it?

tumnus,
Do you know of any better PIMs for the 6000 than what come on it? They're ok, but I wouldn't mind the opportunity to try something better.

Thanks,

gdog

There is KDEPIM/PI (http://www.pi-sync.net/) that many are raving about. Don't know how well it works on the 6000 though.

I'll check it out tumnus, thanks!

After looking at the site for just a moment, I would find it ironically amusing if it is portable to a Linux desktop, but not a different model of the Z.
