Ok.... As the title suggests, I own a D-Link DCF-660W card that has been working fine. BUT I have now flashed my zaurus using the RC3 rom and BOOM... it no longer works. This is the first RC I have tried on the machine. In fact the problem gets even more confusing. I get the following:
# cardctl info 0
PRODID_1="D-Link"
PRODID_2="DCF-660W"
PRODID_3=""
PRODID_4=""
MANFID=d601,0005
FUNCID=6
That is all correct information.
But when I look at xcardinfo it tells me that Socket 0 is:
Sandisk Connect SDWCFB-000
state: ready CD Vcc
device(s): eth0
ifconfig even gives the correct MAC address for the device.
lsmod even shows the orinoco_cs module as loaded.
iwconfig gives me nothing but the loopback interface
Where are things breaking down? I am sure my settings via the GUI app are correct.
Tell me: Did my card just break? I take good care of it but if so is there a way to figure this out. OR What is wrong with the new ROM?
I would love to get some help on this soon as I will be departing on a trip at the start of next week and need to have this working again.

Same, a 760. I gave up and labeled it dead. I went out and bought an ambicom card. It worked right away. Oh well. I guess the card just went bad on me in some way. Thanks for the reply though.

I have stated this again and again - these card are fragile - most of the time they can be "fixed" by inserting somesort of paper/plastic between the card and the zaurus (under the backside of the card). But that's not good and eventually it will break totally.
