Title: wwwoffle question
Post by: suruaZ on September 25, 2004, 11:17:28 am
Hi All,

I have installed wwwofle v2.5c-10 from ipk.
But it doesn't caching any pages - the indexes are empty.
The question is - how to force Opera 5 to works through the proxy? There are no menus. Does changing of  /home/root/Applications/Network/modules/Proxies.conf is enough?

Thanks,
suruaZ

The proxy settings are in the Network configuration app. The last tab for a network connection setup lets you specify the proxy.

Thanks to tumnus, this made the trick.
Related questions:
1. What file is responsible for proxy setting (I prefer to set everything with vim but not with menus   );
2. What data must be passed to the "no proxies for:" field - URL(s), protocol(s) or a program(s)? What delimiter to use if I have some entries?

Thanks,
suruaZ

1) All the proxy settings are under /home/zaurus/Applications/Network/modules in the respective .conf file for the network connection, e.g. IRDA1.conf.
2) I think it's servers/domains

Well, found it. But what the role of the Proxies.conf file from the same folder then?

I think Proxies.conf is an example file from the wwwoffle ipk.
