Title: Status of Copy of Sharp Developer Website?
Post by: akpoff on September 28, 2004, 12:49:17 pm
Someone on the boards was going to try and get a copy of the at least the online forums from Sharp before they shut the developer site down for good.  How's that going?  Any word?

Also, what about getting a mirror of the rest of the site?  docs.zaurus.com has a lot of good info.  I've pulled a "wget --mirror ..." from it but would rather have someone on the server do a tar.gz on the site.

What about getting Sharp's permission to repost much if not all of the site?  A lot of it is probably under their copyright.

Google has a great cache

try this string:
http://www.google.com/search?q=inurl:docs....en&lr=&filter=0 (http://www.google.com/search?q=inurl:docs.zaurus.com+intext:developing&hl=en&lr=&filter=0)

All of thier site is already mirrored on Google :::: BUt one should still clear any legal issues if you where going to make it live again.

--- execpt most of the content was based in a forum style, so there isn't really an owner of it ..... Don't copy thier design, or layout ::: only the words people shared :::   a simple wget script on googles cache will give you a nice mirror.
